Terms of Service

  • 1. Eligibility and Requirements
    • Documentation: Students must provide a valid learner’s permit or driver’s license before any behind-the-wheel instruction begins.
    • Physical Readiness: Students must wear appropriate footwear (no flip-flops, high heels, or heavy boots). If a student is deemed impaired (illness, medication, or substances), the lesson will be canceled immediately at the student’s expense.
  • 2. Scheduling and Attendance
    • Punctuality: Instructors will wait for 15 minutes past the scheduled start time. If the student does not appear, the lesson is considered a “No-Show” and the fee is forfeited.
    • Vehicle Use: DriveHive Academy LLC provides dual-controlled vehicles for all lessons. Use of a school vehicle for a DMV road test is subject to a separate rental fee and instructor availability.
  • 3. Safety and Liability
    • DriveHive Academy LLC reserves the right to terminate a lesson if the instructor deems the environment or student behavior unsafe.
    • While our vehicles are fully insured, the school is not responsible for any personal property left in the vehicle.

 

Refund & Cancellation Policy

  • 1. Cancellation Policy

    We understand that schedules change. However, to maintain our instructors’ schedules, we require:

    • 24-Hour Notice: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled lesson.
    • Late Cancellation Fee: Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a fee of $40 (or the full cost of the lesson, depending on your preference).
  • 2. Refund Eligibility
    • Unused Lessons: Refunds for unused individual lessons or packages are available within 90 days of the original purchase date.
    • Processing Fee: All refunds are subject to a $25 administrative fee.
    • Bundled Packages: If a student requests a refund after completing part of a discounted package, the completed lessons will be charged at the full standard hourly rate, and the remaining balance will be refunded.
  • 3. Non-Refundable Items
    • Completed driving lessons or classroom sessions.
    • Expended road test sponsorship fees.
    • Services purchased more than 6 months prior (credits expire after 180 days).
  • 4. School Cancellations

    If DriveHive Academy LLC must cancel a lesson due to mechanical failure, instructor illness, or extreme weather, the student will be offered a priority reschedule for that specific session.
